Amazing home-made icecream, somewhat yellowish (are they using “real / non-supermarket” eggs?). Portion is for two people. They add both chocolate sauce as well as caramel so you can choose or mix as you wish. On top there is a generous serving of bresilienne nuts and speculoos crumble.

Bistro Refter in Brughes serves up a straightforward Dame Blanche with a slight variation. The single scoop of ice cream comes with small bits of chocolate, which adds a bit of texture. The taste is decent, but it doesn’t quite leave a lasting impression. If you’re in the area and have a craving for Dame Blanche, it’s an option, but don’t expect anything out of the ordinary.
